I am currently unemployed and currently not receiving any benefits?

The courts will want to know how you are supporting yourself financially with no obvious income.

  • For example, if you are being supported by family/ friends, a signed letter will be requested from the family member/ friend stating how much money and how often they provide it to you.

  • If you are working cash-in- hand a letter from your employer will be requested stating how much money you earn and how often you receive it.

We appreciate this may be difficult for you to obtain, but if proof is requested and you are not in a position to provide it – it may be difficult for us to finalise your application for funding and subsequently result in you not being granted legal aid for your case.

Please feel free to contact us no matter your situation to discuss any charges against you and possible representation by Bullivant Law. We are happy to advise on eligibility for legal aid and of course consider your options with you.
